KiKxxl is legitimised as a company in the market economy by the fact that it makes a contribution to society.

Sustainable and responsible.

When we speak of corporate citizenship, we are not just referring to social or societal responsibility in the narrower sense. KiKxxl sees itself as a part and partner of society. We want to act in a sustainable and responsible manner – especially where our value creation and the interests and expectations of our stakeholders meet: in our business environment, towards our employees, in society and in our interaction with the environment.

Support for social projects.

Do something good! Much easier said than done. Which is why KiKxxl supports its employees in their social commitment and adds a bonus on top of the employee bonus: Five percent of every bonus goes on top into a donation pot. This is distributed among several local and international institutions.

Madamfo Ghana Bettina Landgrafe e.V.

‘Madamfo’ is the Ghanaian word for friend. In the Madamfo Ghana project, KiKxxl permanently sponsors eleven children who have been freed from slavery. In specific terms, every internal KiKxxl Contact Centre supports one sponsored child. Every contact centre has a designated KiKxxl contact responsible for communication with the children.

To finance the project, KiKxxl pays a fixed percentage to the aid project on top of each employee bonus. This means that everyone makes their own contribution to the project and our employees do not suffer any financial disadvantages.

Sportler 4 a childrens world e.V

A better world for children – this is the mission statement of Sportler 4 a childrens world e.V. The association is committed to helping children in emergency situations, promoting children’s rights and setting an example against racism and for integration.

John McGurk, the 1st chairman and a passionate runner, knows from his own experience what it is like to live as a child in need. Which is why he has long been committed to giving children a better life and he and his team run all over the country for a good cause.

KiKxxl and its employees have been supporting the charity run for many years. KiKxxl donates a previously set sum for every kilometre run.

Löwenherz Children’s Hospice in Syke

The ‘Löwenherz Children’s Hospice’ in Syke near Bremen has eight places for terminally ill children and eight rooms for parents and siblings. The hospice takes in children with terminal illnesses for whom there is no cure according to the latest medical research. It takes in up to 150 families as guests every year.

The trained volunteers also support the family in many aspects of family life at home. The focus is on spending time with the sick child – singing, playing, reading aloud, going for walks and much more. They also act as a contact to the parents and provide them with a listening ear. Siblings join them for games, chats or on outings.

KiKxxl is very attached to this association and has been sponsoring it for years.

Apprentice projects

A long-standing tradition at KiKxxl is for the first-year trainees to carry out a social project.

For the first time last year, each location was allowed to choose their own organisation. For instance, the local Tafel (food bank) is being supported in Osnabrück, the ‘Help&Hope’ foundation in Dortmund, and the ‘Deutsche Kinderschutzbund (German Child Protection League)’ in Bremen. One of the aims of the Osnabrück Tafel is to help people in need, often by donating food or goods. The ‘Help&Hope’ foundation helps disadvantaged children and young people through difficult situations. The young people are also given support in dealing with officialdom, sorting out their housing situation, and in their search for a specific training place.

The Kinderschutzbund stands up for the rights of children and is committed to helping children and young people grow up without violence. The social project is not only about doing something good, but also about the sense of responsibility that comes with independently planning, implementing and managing the project.
