Career at KiKxxl
Acelya works as a Senior Team Leader at our Osnabrück site. She originally planned to train in another area, but decided to stay with KiKxxl and has achieved great success here. Find out more about her journey in our interview:
How did you come to KiKxxl and what was your career path like?
After graduating from commercial college, I initially joined KiKxxl on a temporary basis until my apprenticeship was due to start. I started as a customer advisor and then had firm plans to train as an automotive saleswoman, for which I had already been accepted. When my team leader found out about this, he convinced me to do an apprenticeship in dialog marketing at KiKxxl instead. After graduating, I became a team leader and was then promoted to senior team leader. After a three-year break and a trip to Germany, I returned to KiKxxl. I really like the informal working atmosphere here: Everyone treats each other as equals and is respectful and relaxed. And KiKxxl is very family-friendly, which was a real stroke of luck for me as a single mother.
What are your tasks as a senior team leader?
I oversee smaller but intensive projects. This includes project management, communication with clients, sales management, personnel planning and much more. It never gets boring, especially because we are constantly growing and new projects are always being added.
What do you enjoy most and what are the challenges?
I enjoy working with the employees the most. But I also enjoy sales – I’m a salesperson through and through and love passing on my skills. And I like to organize and plan, whether it’s day-to-day work or team events. The biggest challenge is when things are out of my control. For example, when a client doesn’t provide data or availability is limited due to external circumstances. It’s hard when you know that you could be much more successful in sales, but it’s out of your hands.
Acelya’s career illustrates how careers at KiKxxl can develop. It shows that individual decisions and experiences have an impact on professional development and how diverse the opportunities are at KiKxxl.
