Career at KiKxxl

Benjamin is Senior Project Manager at KiKxxl in Osnabrück and has lots of exciting things to tell us! Read for yourself in our interview:

How did you come to work at KiKxxl?
Originally intended as a part-time job alongside my studies, I decided not to study and started at KiKxxl full-time as a customer advisor in March 2016 and quickly became a mentor and was able to accompany new colleagues into telephony. In 2017, I applied for a team leader position and became a trainee in the same year and team leader in 2018. A year later I was promoted to Senior Team Leader, in 2023 to Project Manager and then this month to Senior Project Manager.

What are your daily tasks as a Senior Project Manager?
My focus is on communication with the client and the strategic management of projects. This means that I coordinate which employees work on which topics in order to achieve the best results. Last year, I played a key role in setting up a team of over 50 employees in Prishtina and two months ago we added another team in Athens.
As I support both outbound and inbound projects, it is very important to manage processes effectively and efficiently. We juggle a wide variety of tasks. Put simply: The outbound area supports the inbound and vice versa. The whole thing is like a big game of chess.

What do you enjoy about your job?
Exactly this strategic game of chess! We have great clients and always have new goals to achieve. It’s always exciting to adjust our team to new challenges. Some of the employees from my old existing team have been with me since my first time as admin. We naturally maintain close contact with these colleagues, which goes beyond the professional side of things. I have learnt that knowing the personal aspects of employees is part of leadership. This dialogue helps me to develop a good feel for each individual and support them in the best possible way. As a project manager, I am therefore directly on site to feel the pulse of what is happening. For me, being close to my colleagues is the key to everything we achieve. Over the years, we have also built up a strong standing with the client – today, we at KiKxxl are the largest telesales service provider for Freenet.
